AMARA
Dear Journal– It’s not really my style to be keeping a journal, but…here we are. I’ve been trying to put a pin in this whole “wandering tavern” business, but it’s been hard to keep track of everything I’ve heard. I figured writing it all down might help…I guess we’ll see about that.
I know Vega thinks my interest in that place is some kind of joke. But everywhere I go, someone's got something to say about it. The one thread every story has in common is that this place just seems to be wherever a tavern shouldn’t be–caves, mountaintops, canyons…it’s…weird. The stories all vary so much it can be hard to separate fact from fiction…or if there’s even any fact in there at all. But there has to be some truth to the stories–doesn’t there?
Just yesterday, one guy told me he heard the place was built by a demon, and someone else jumped in to correct him and said that it was actually a wyrm’s lair, and that it was filled to bursting with treasure.
Booze definitely makes people more willing to talk, but it doesn’t do much for making their stories believable.
Ah, well. Maybe tomorrow someone will be able to tell me something more helpful.
Until then, goodnight…journal? Is…that how I’m supposed to end this?
Eh, whatever. I’m going to bed. Big show in the morning.
